gsmlib extensions for Siemens mobile phones

S45 & ME45

There is gsmlib by Peter Hofmann - a well designed C++ library providing access to mobile phones.

Phonebook and SMS exchange is fine. It won't provide access to the sound, logos, appointments and business-cards, yet.

I came across SCMxx but its neither stable or featureful. I had to poke around in the code badly just to get it working initially.
After all its based on old S25 code and intended for S35.

That way I had no choice but to extend gsmlib. :) The most basic things are working fine now. For the months to come this is still work in progress and I advice caution not to damage your phone!

Download a recent copy of gsmlib. Download and apply my gsmlib patch. If you want to read Siemens' SMS file format get and apply gsmlib sms patch also. Configure, compile and install.
