gsmlib extensions for Siemens mobile phones

There is gsmlib by Peter Hofmann - a well designed C++ library providing access to mobile phones.

Phonebook and SMS exchange is fine. It won’t provide access to the sound, logos, appointments and business-cards, yet.

Another tool SCMxx is based on the S25 and intended for S35.

x25, x35 and S45, ME45, SL45

That way I had no choice but to extend gsmlib. :) The most basic things are working fine now. For the months to come this is still work in progress and I advice caution not to damage your phone!

Download a recent copy of gsmlib. Download and apply my gsmlib-1.8-sieme_20011216b patch. If you want to read Siemens’ SMS file format get and applygsmlib-1.8-sieme_sms patch also. Configure, compile and install.

Feel free to try my other gsmlib patches.
