I am living in the beautiful city Oldenburg, which is located in the northwest of Germany. What I really love about Oldenburg is the nice atmosphere with lot's of cyclists, parks and liberal people. Also within a few minutes you can reach the surrounding nature reserves from the center. And because of the plain landscape it's ideal for cycling :).
After finishing my studies in computer science here at the local university in March 2002, I started working for the OFFIS institute. Since April 2003 I am now working at the University in the Department of Computer Science as scientific assistant in the section of environmental computer science.
Beside my work I deal with some other interesting things in the area of computer science in my spare time. Some keywords here are: Free Software, Linux and GNOME.
But of course I am not only interested in computers. There are quite a few other things I like to do:
